Tanzanian Purple Sapphire - Emerald Cut - 3.96ct
A fine Tanzanian purple sapphire finished in a classic emerald cut design. The colour of this sapphire was hard to photograph and the pitcures on the grey background are close but I don’t think they really do the purple hues real justice. In the hand it is an intense purple with a blue secondary. There are flashes of dispersion showing reds and blues and put me in mind of Brazilian alexandrites. The pictures of the sapphire in the white case are probably closer to real life. Basically, if you like the pics you will love the gem, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
The gem has a low profile and with it’s good size will make an excellent ring stone. This is one I highly recommend.
