Australian Parti Sapphire - Skin Polish - 4.93ct

Here is something a little different. This natural Australia parti sapphire has been skin polished which is technique not often used on sapphire because of the sapphire's hardness. The gem retains much of it's original form and the stone has been smoothed and polished to high gloss to create a unique shape that can be set as a ring or pendant or another piece of jewellery. The colours are a striking blend of yellow and blue, distinctively Australia, and the natural curves of the gem give them a fluid feel.
