Australian O'Briens Creek Natural Green Topaz - Supernova Round - 19.85ct

$0.00

Without any doubt whatsoever, one of the rarest Australian gemstones is the natural green topaz from O'Briens Creek in Far North Queensland. You have a considerably far greater chance of finding a blue topaz or aquamarine then one of these green topaz. Very few indeed are the lucky fossickers to have found one of these beauties. In my whole gemstone career I have only ever seen three of these O’Briens Creek natural green topaz, and this is one of them and by far the largest and best.

To be honest, I don’t think I have seen a green topaz from anywhere else either. These are very singular stones and extremely rare and in all likelihood, and to the best of my knowledge and current awareness, only found here at O’Briens Creek. This suberb green topaz has been part of a private collection for many years. The collector found this stone with his Uncle as a young boy back in the 60’s, when on school holidays they would travel to O’Briens Creek and spend many weeks digging very big, deep holes. Whilst they found many topaz and some extremely fine natural blue topaz, this was the only green that surfaced.

This exceptional natural green topaz is available and is museum quality. It will complete and be a standout in any collection of rare gemstones.
