This is an outstanding natural blue topaz from the world famous O'Briens Creek gemfields. Natural blue topaz are the rare beauty that all fossickers dig long and hard for but few are ever found. This location is renown for the quality of the topaz found there.
The topaz has been cut in the Supernova Round which is quite an elegant design and especially well suited to the stone’s soft and cooling blue hues. Natural blue topaz from O’Briens Creek are among my favourite gems, there is something about the quality of the light and brightness these stones have. Each and every topaz from this location has been hand dug as there is no powered machinery allowed on these gemfields.
This is a true collectors gem and the saturation of bue in this topaz is more than ideal, it is a superb natural Australian gemstone.
