The topaz has been finished in the classic Emerald Cut design which is perfect for capturing the sublime elegance of the gem and it’s soft iceberg blue hues. The saturation of blue in these natural topaz is only ever light, not like the dark saturations of our sapphires. This is a very different stone and topaz has a certain quality of brightness and light that few other gems have. Finding big natural blue topaz of this calibar from this location requires a lot of effort as each stone is hand dug, not by machine but by shovel and sweat. A superb Australian gem!
