Australian Mud Tank Zircon - Emerald Cut - 12.16ct

An exceptional natural zircon from the famous Mud Tank gemfields in the Northern Territory. This area is in the middle of Australia and geologists have dated it around 700-800 million years old. The zircons from here are absolutely beautiful however they are often included with veils. This gem is as clean as I’ve ever seen and the plum pink colour is gorgeous. The zircon has been faceted in the classic Emerald Cut design which really highlights the zircon’s colours. This is a superb collector’s stone and would make a special piece of jewellery.
