Citrine - Firebird Unfurling - 80.8ct
In it's original rough form this lovely piece of golden citrine had a natural flame like shape to it . I wanted to carve a flame but as I progressed I began to realise that a firebird was revealing itself, unfurling from the flames. From that point on I could visualise the mythic phoenix rising from the fire and that was the spirit I felt this piece would embody.
