Brazilian Carnelian - Scarab - 5.68ct

A gorgeous scarab beetle carved in Brazilian carnelian. The colour is an intense red orange and is quite striking. I enjoy carving scarabs and this was the first one in a little while. They are a classic icon and have long been worn as pendants and rings. When I think of a scarab ring I always picture one of those ancient Egyptian gold rings with a scarab that spins around.
