This natural Australian sapphire has a particular parti colour pattern known as a pharaoh's eye. This refers to when a lighter yellow colour zone is positioned around the centre culet with the blue green colour around it. It is a special stone and is natural and unheated. The sapphire does exhibits some natural growth line inclusions produced by the crystal as it is formed but these do not detract from the overall appearance of the sapphire. Rather it is a good indication that the sapphire is natural and acts sort of like a fingerprint making it totally unique. It is a big stone and will make quite an impressive ring stone.
