Australian Green Blue Sapphire - Bicentennial Brilliant - 8.35ct
This big natural Australian sapphire was cut by a friend of mine in a variation of the round brilliant design called the Bicentennial Brilliant. This design is great for large sapphires and really adds a dynamic liveliness to the gem. The sapphire has beautiful green blue hues and it looks so much nicer then the pics suggest. For it's size it has a relatively low profile which makes it ideal for a ring stone. It does have some inclusions but they are not really noticeable given the size of the stone. Quite an exceptional natural Australian sapphire and very highly recommended.
